Story:
Harry, Ron and Hermione set out on their perilous mission to track down and destroy the secret to Voldemort's immortality and destruction -- the Horcruxes. On their own, without the guidance of their professors or the protection of Professor Dumbledore, the three friends must now rely on one another more than ever. But there are Dark Forces in their midst that threaten to tear them apart. Meanwhile, the wizarding world has become a dangerous place for all enemies of the Dark Lord. The long-feared war has begun and Voldemort's Death Eaters seize control of the Ministry of Magic and even Hogwarts, terrorizing and arresting anyone who might oppose them. But the one prize they still seek is the one most valuable to Voldemort: Harry Potter. The Chosen One has become the hunted one as the Death Eaters search for Harry with orders to bring him to Voldemort...alive.
Harry's only hope is to find the Horcruxes before Voldemort finds him. But as he searches for clues, he uncovers an old and almost forgotten tale -- the legend of the Deathly Hallows. And if the legend turns out to be true, it could give Voldemort the ultimate power he seeks. Little does Harry know that his future has already been decided by his past when, on that fateful day, he became "the Boy Who Lived." No longer just a boy, Harry Potter is drawing ever closer to the task for which he has been preparing since the day he first stepped into Hogwarts: the ultimate battle with Voldemort.

Review:
Ok... Where should I begin?... :D
Here comes the last installment of Harry Potter series, this finale, I conclude in one word which is "AMAZING", it should be one of the masterpiece of all time. I am not a big fans of Harry Potter, but I really enjoy the last goodbye of him. I had been disappointed at first when the last series of Harry Potter was torn into two parts. But after watching this last one, I know that they save the best for last. It's really recommended for everyone whether you are a fans or not.
The beginning picks up straight after where Part 1 ended, Voldemort (Ralph Finnes) has the most powerful wand in his hand and he's finally ready to succeed in what he tried to do over 15 years ago. He finally has the power to kill Harry Potter. I won't go into much more detail in what happens as I don't want to drop spoilers here. You really have to watch it yourself. It's worth it. Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson) need to seek out and destroy remaining Horcruxes. This is the only way to stop Voldermort. Everything is great from the beginning till the end. The whole battle is fascinating. I bet you will like it. I will review it from few point of views.
First, the story, I can't say more about the story, it's not really similar to the book. There are some parts of the movie which not be mentioned in the book are made up here to make this movie more "entertaining". It's up to you guys to criticize the story. For me, even it has little differences, it still entertain me a lot. For you all who haven't read the books, it may be a bit confusing in some places especially the unusual terminology. But, hopefully that will just encourage you to read the books, it's really amazing books, big applause to J.K.Rowling.
The second one is the direction. For me, it's not the best I've ever seen in the movie, some scenes are a bit lame but I still can feel and see the beautiful, the epic of this whole masterpiece of all time.
Next, is the acting. I really want to give my credit to Alan Rickman who plays Severus Snape character. You all must be agree with me for this one. He is the most reliable and consistent actor from the first series till this finale. He has done his job as Snape excellently. His act is undeniably perfect as a consistent cool and cruel person. Rupert Grint who plays Ron Weasley is also great, he is the most development actor in Harry Potter series for me. His funny act, silly sometimes, is perfectly done from the kid version to the last adult one. Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson are also do a good job in this finale. I hope they will get a suitable character for the next performance. Last but not least, Ralph Fiennes as Voldermort, is also perfect. We already know him as one of a phenomenal great actor.
Last one is for the visual effects, I can't say nothing rather than amazing, stunning, perfect, beautiful, pretty, and masterpiece. Lots of action, you'll be well entertained here. The most stunning part for me is the first attack done by Voldermort to the Hogwarts. It's one of the most beautiful scene in this finale. The color, the effect is wonderful. Everything looks great, from the magic to the dragons it all is fantastic.
Overall, I have also read some reviews that say this finale had a bad ending, for me it's still great. It's the best series of all. Some of you maybe who had thought this finale will be done wrongly has been done right. It's really a great great end for this Harry Potter saga. It is more than just an ending, its an entire decade, the generation that grew up with these series of books and movies now has to move on. At this opportunity, let me say thank you and goodbye to Harry Potter and friends, well done for J.K.Rowling who creates such an amazing story. This is one of memorable movie of all time. Believe me, the story will pass on to our children, grand children, and it will not die forever in every fans heart. Great job. :D
Good points:
- The visual effects are absolutely amazing and stunning
- The beginning is great and the ending is perfect
- The story will become legend and fairytale to our next generation
- All the acts develop very well from the beginning of the series to the ending of this saga
Bad points:
- A little lame scene (but it can be covered by a lot of great scenes)
Rating: 9.1/10.0

okay..! finally i watch this one already =)
ReplyDeleteactually if you give this one a rate of 9.1 out of 10.0, it's a little bit too much.
i watch this movie two times, one time just plain 2D and one time 3D.
and what i really feel is that the movie somehow makes me bored when i just watch it on 2D, because some scenes are just plainly copying exactly from the book. not mentioning the lack of the background music, so--honestly--i feel a little bit sleepy in some part.
but when it comes to the 3D version, well, everything changed.. hahaha so i recommend to watch it in 3D :)
I don't watch it in 3D, but I had read some reviews that said the 3D was just ok. So i don't really know about the 3D part. But since you said it good maybe it's really good. Every comments returns to our perspective and favorite of course. Whatever happened this Harry gave a great ending, right? :D
ReplyDeleteAs a note, the best 3D of all time for me is Step Up 3D, it's so real and perfect. :D
Thank you for your comments and keep commenting on my next reviews. It means a lot. :)
you're welcome, sir baldy! as a movie lover i really love to read and comment on your reviews, besides it keeps me up-to-date to the latest movies hehehe
ReplyDeleteah yes the Step up 3D, loving it very much! =D
for me Step Up 3D is one of the best 3D effects since Avatar. remember the blue thing? i think it's really nice
and yup, Harry's got a great ending. :)
